Seattle Kraken Make History In Their First Ever Playoff Series

The Seattle Kraken, in only their second year of existence have done something that no other franchise in NHL history has done, defeat the defending Stanley Cup champions in their first ever playoff series!

The Kraken and Colorado Avalanche tangled in a back and forth series that went down the the 7th and final game in Denver last night and the Kraken hung on for a thrilling 2-1 victory led by Oliver Bjorkstrand's two goals and their goalie, Phillip Grubaur who was released by the Avs the year prior to them winning the Stanley Cup.

The NHL is alive and well in Seattle and when it comes to playoffs in professional sports, they have their fill of excitement but there is just something special about playoff hockey. That will continue for the Kraken as they now take on the Dallas Stars who took 2 out of 3 games against the Kraken this year.

The first two games will be in Dallas beginning on Tuesday night before the series shifts to Seattle some time next weekend.
