The Aberdeen Fire Department set another record in 2023 for the number of calls answered. Firefighters and EMS personnel responded to an average of 17 calls per day last year for a total of 6,396 responses last year. Although that represents an increase of 175 calls from 2022, last year’s call volume was 46 percent more than the number of calls received just a decade ago. In a press release on Friday, the department said more detailed information would be released with the department‘s annual report which will be released later in the year.
