A deadly car crash also knocks out power for more than 1,600 Sunday. Grays Harbor Scanner first reported that a driver swerved to avoid a deer and hit a power pole in Cedarville. Although Life Flight was initially called, the service was canceled, and radio traffic indicated the crash was being investigated as a fatality. The South Bank RD at Barton RD was closed for several hours due to investigation and to allow PUD crews to work to restore power.
