The Grays Harbor County Sheriff’s Office responded to 1,734 calls for service in May, with theft and vehicle thefts slightly on the rise as summer approaches. Deputies made 636 traffic stops, issued 37 citations, and wrote nearly 300 infractions. While thefts ticked up, burglaries saw a big drop—from 19 last month to just 5. Authorities are urging residents to stay alert, lock up their vehicles and outbuildings, and report any suspicious activity.
