New numbers show joblessness remains higher in Grays Harbor and Pacific counties compared to much of the state.

New numbers show joblessness remains higher in Grays Harbor and Pacific counties compared to much of the state. According to the Washington State Employment Security Department, Grays Harbor County recorded a 6 percent unemployment rate in November, with Pacific County close behind at 5.5 percent. Both counties are running above the statewide and national unemployment rate of 4.6 percent. Officials say most recent job gains statewide have been in health care and service-based industries.
