Multiple Counties are dealing with another phone scam popping up where the scammer is impersonating law enforcement. Report from both the Pacific and Mason County sheriff’s departments warning residents about a phone scam involving someone impersonating one of their detectives. Officials say the caller claims the person has a warrant and demands immediate payment to avoid jail. Deputies stress they will never ask for money over the phone or accept payment that way. Anyone receiving such a call should hang up and report it immediately.
