The Port of Grays Harbor just picked up Washington’s 2025 Port of the Year award, thanks to big growth and a string of public-private partnerships that have reshaped its operations. Record cargo numbers and a massive new soymeal export project helped push the port into the spotlight, with leaders saying the work will bring more ships and more good-paying jobs. The Terminal 4 expansion alone is expected to double exports and add more than 80 jobs. WPPA officials say the port’s approach is becoming a model for ports across the state and the country.
