Officials issued a statement where they recognized the short notice but promised those who can take part some “excellent digging”.

The Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife shellfish managers reopened razor clam digging at Copalis Beach only on Saturday. There will also be additional dig opportunities later today and again on Wednesday night.
