The head of the Hoquiam schools will now lead a statewide organization. Hoquiam School District Superintendent Mike Villarreal has been selected as the next president of the Washington Association of School Administrators. In his time as an educator is Washington, Superintendent. Villareal has taught at the 3rd and 6tth grade levels and was an assistant superintendent before coming to lead Hoquiam schools. He’s been member of the statewide association since 1999. He will assume the president’s role in July of 2023.
