It’s week two of a Weyerhaeuser worker strike and still no deal has been reached.
It’s week two of a Weyerhaeuser worker strike and still no deal has been reached. 1,100 members of
the International Association of Machinist & Aerospace Workers are on strike shutting down operation
at 4 lumber mills including the one in Aberdeen. Union leaders say as Weyerhaeuser shows record
profits, their members want a contract with pay that reflects the hard work they put in to allow the
company to see such growth. The next scheduled negotiation meeting is set for this Thursday.
