The Hoquiam Police Department gave a fond farewell this week to a retiring officer. Sgt. Shane Krohn retired on Tuesday after 34 years with the Hoquiam Police Department. He retired as the longest tenured officer in the department. Through the years Sgt. Krohn served in many postions including on the Special Response Team, as evidence supervisor, fire investigator, detective, firearms instructor, and detective sergeant.
