An assault call in McCleary ends with an arrest and a closer look at what happened. Police say officers responded around 1pm yesterday to the 100 block of South 3rd Street for a reported assault in progress. Once on scene, they secured the area and gathered information that led them to make an arrest. A 26-year-old McCleary man was taken into custody without incident and booked on a fourth-degree assault charge.
