City of Hoquiam Is Scheduled To Start Flushing Water Lines Today

When this happens its recommended that you run water at outside outlet or in the bathtub for a few minutes until the water is clear.

The City of Hoquiam is scheduled to start flushing water lines today. The regular maintenance will have
crews opening fire hydrants in sections across the city and by doing so, sediment will be stirred up.
Residents may notice a loss in water pressure during daytime hours as well as discoloration in the water
coming out of faucets. When this happens its recommended that you run water at outside outlet or in
the bathtub for a few minutes until the water is clear. The flushing process will go on most weekdays
through the end of November.
