Final Razor Clam Digs Of Season Start Saturday

Diggers are reminded to check beach openings, follow daily limits, and avoid nesting areas for protected shorebirds.

The final razor clam digs of the season will begin May 10, with six days of morning low tides along select Washington beaches. State shellfish managers say conditions are ideal for a strong finish to a season that’s already seen over 100 harvest days since October. Diggers are reminded to check beach openings, follow daily limits, and avoid nesting areas for protected shorebirds. A new season is expected to be announced this fall after summer population surveys.
