Storms and high winds sent Grays Harbor PUD outage numbers soaring in 2024, nearly doubling the previous year’s total. The utility released a report that showed 390 outages last year—up from 230 in 2023—causing over 63,000 customer interruptions and nearly 359,000 total outage hours. November was the hardest-hit month, with 74 outages tied largely to downed trees during coastal storms. Officials say vegetation management remains a top priority, especially in heavily affected areas like North Beach, Central Park, Wishkah Valley, and Lake Quinault.
