The latest numbers from the Employment Security Department shows Grays Harbor County fell out of the top 5 for high unemployment rates for the first time in almost two years. The numbers show Grays Harbor went from a 6 percent unemployment rate in December to a 7.6 percent rate in January. That number gives Grays Harbor the 9th highest unemployment rate in the state. Pacific County fell out of the top 10 for worst unemployment numbers with a 7.3 percent rate in January. Ferry county has the highest unemployment rate in Washington at 10.6 percent for January.
