An update from the State on the 2022-23 recreational razor clam season shows ALL beaches for digging. Marine toxin levels (specifically domoic acid) have increased above the action level. Officials say they will continue testing, but at this time do not have an estimate of when digging can proceed. Before a beach can be opened for the harvest of razor clams, all razor clam samples collected from that beach must test under the action level, in two tests that are at least 10 days apart.
