Washington State Department Of Fish & Wildlife Adding More Halibut Days This Month

State officials will evaluate the remaining quota at the end of June.

The Washington State Department of Fish and wildlife is adding more halibut fishing days for this month. Due to bad fishing weather in May the department says there is a large quota remaining, especially in Marine areas 1-4. The additional dates for halibut fishing this month will be as follows. Marine Area 1: June 13 and 20, Marine Area 2: June 28 and 30 and Marine Area 3 and 4: June 10, 17 and 24. State officials will evaluate the remaining quota at the end of June and could add more fishing days in August and September.
