Aberdeen Firefighters will be visiting elementary schools and homeschool groups to educate students
on fire safety starting today for Fire Prevention Week. This year Aberdeen Fire Department has
partnered with David Steinman with State Farm Insurance and Dominos of Hoquiam to provide Fire
Safety kits to approximately 600 students. The theme for this year’s National Fire Prevention week is
“Fire Won’t Wait, Plan Your Escape.” You can also go to NFPA.org to learn more about educating your
family and community on fire prevention and planning techniques.
