A bear cub wandering through Hoquiam prompted three schools to keep students indoors Tuesday. Grays Harbor Scanner reports the cub was spotted at the high school, then headed toward the elementary and middle schools. Superintendent Michael Cummings says the cub wasn't considered dangerous, but there was concern its mother might be nearby. The district ordered a precautionary shelter-in-place, not a lockdown. Classes continued as normal, but nobody was allowed outside until the all-clear.
