Hoquiam Police received a call about a man stealing a minivan with two kids inside around 8:45 in the morning, the information was also posted online by Grays Harbor Scanner. Hoquiam Police say two alert citizens saw the van with the kids inside at a gas station in South Aberdeen and called 9-1-1. Almost immediately, officers responded, and the man ran off. The kids were unharmed, and Aberdeen PD quickly caught up with the suspect, identified only as a 34-year-old transient person. He was arrested and charged with kidnapping and theft.
