Washington’s Department of Fish and Wildlife shellfish managers confirmed on Wednesday that razor clam digging will reopen at Copalis Beach this Friday, February 3rd. Officials say Copalis Beach still remains the only location with toxicity levels low enough for safe harvest. The state says additional digs have been approved at Copalis beach on Feb. 5 and Feb. 7. The State Department of Health labs indicate domoic acid levels at Long Beach and Twin Harbors beaches were still above the health guideline levels.
