Cosmopolis Has New Fire Chief

Kasey Jo McAbee took over last week and also works as a firefighter-paramedic with the Aberdeen Fire Department.

Cosmopolis has a new fire chief, and she brings more than two decades of fire and EMS experience with her. Kasey Jo McAbee took over last week and also works as a firefighter-paramedic with the Aberdeen Fire Department. Her resume includes flight paramedic work, critical-care transport, training and leadership with Orcas Island Fire and Rescue. McAbee says she wants to build on the department’s history while helping it grow and better serve Cosmopolis.
