In lakes across Grays Harbor and Pacific Counties.
The Washington department of Ecology says now is the time to start watching out for algae blooms in lakes across Grays Harbor and Pacific Counties. State officials say the blooms are most typical in summer and fall months but it’s hard to predict how each lake will be affected by the changing weather. Experts say if the algae has a blue-green or reddish-brown color or looks like a paint spill on the water, do not drink it and contact local lake officials
