A wildfire along the Lewis-Pacific county line grows from just a couple of acres to about 70 in only a few hours. The Sage Creek Fire started Thursday near the 1400 line south of Pe Ell and was still spreading by midafternoon. State crews were attacking it mainly from the air Thursday evening. Emergency managers in Pacific and Lewis counties are working together and say additional resources are ready if firefighters need them.
