The cause of a fishing boat fire last week in the Westport Marina is still under investigation. Crews were called out Thursday evening just after 6pm for the fire aboard the 90 foot “Marlins II” fishing vessel. No one on the boat and no fire crews were injured. The fire took about 3 hours to get under control. Officials say the hull did not appear damaged and there is nothing leaking from the boat, but it has been cordoned off as a precaution.
