Grays Harbor looks to get over $40 million out of the state budget for various projects. The Daily World reports of the $44.6 million earmarked for the county, $25 million would go to a private land acquisition for the Quinault Indian Nation. $7.8 million would go to expand the Quinault Wellness Center in Aberdeen. Also included in the supplemental budget this year is millions for school construction and $2 million for salmon restoration efforts in Grays Harbor County. State Senate leaders announced a $1.3 billion capital budget last week.
