Health insurance costs are going up in 2024 for over two hundred thousand Washingtonians.

Health insurance costs are going up in 2024 for over two hundred thousand Washingtonians. The state office of the insurance commissioner has approved a 9 percent increase for over a dozen healthcare providers that are part of Washington’s individual health insurance market. According to the most recent numbers, there are just over 220,000 covered under the individual health insurance market. Last year, 75 percent of those on the healthcare exchange needed financial assistance to cover the cost of insurance.
