A Scammer calls claiming to be taking donations in the name of the Hoquiam Police Department.

The Hoquiam Police Department is warning residents of a phone scam that targets your generosity. A Scammer calls claiming to be taking donations in the name of the Hoquiam Police Department. If you get a call like this asking for money, the police sat to hang up because it is not real. If you have made donations, contact your bank or credit card company and if you need a police report, you’re asked to call the Hoquiam Police non-emergency number and ask for assistance.
