The U.S. Navy will land a massive hovercraft at Seaview Beach on August 6 as part of a disaster preparedness exercise.

The U.S. Navy will land a massive hovercraft at Seaview Beach on August 6 as part of a disaster preparedness exercise. The Pacific County Emergency Management Agency says the LCAC demonstration will test plans to deliver emergency supplies in case the county is cut off from I-5. The landing is scheduled for 8:15 a.m., with a second landing at 11:15 a.m., and the public is invited to watch. Officials say these joint efforts with the Navy and state agencies are key to strengthening local disaster response.
