North Jetty Ocean Shores Project To Start Up

Crews will reinforce the aging jetty to help protect the Grays Harbor shipping channel.

A major project to rebuild the North Jetty at Ocean Shores is about to shift into high gear. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers held a town hall this week to explain the three-year, $30 million effort, with rock deliveries already underway and construction set to begin in August. Crews will reinforce the aging jetty to help protect the Grays Harbor shipping channel, which supports millions of tons of cargo and hundreds of jobs each year. Residents can expect construction traffic through Ocean Shores as the project continues into 2029.
