A silent gathering is planned tomorrow at the state capital in Olympia to show support for the “Oakley Carlson Act.” H.B. 1397, introduced last month by local state rep Jim Walsh, is proposed as a way to improve the Washington state child welfare system. Friday’s gathering will be significant since, according to the Grays Harbor Sheriff’s Department records, it marks the two-year anniversary of the last time the missing 6-year-old from Oakville was seen. The Light the Way Missing Persons Advocacy Project is organizing Friday’s gathering that’s planned from 3:30pm till 4:30pm. More details on where to meet can be found at the link on our website.
