One person dies after their SUV plunges into the river. Grays Harbor Scanner first reported the incident in Ocean Shores around 6:30pm yesterday. Initial reports that witnesses saw an adult and child swim away were unfounded but there was one person in the vehicle that first responders were unable to rescue. WSP reports the driver was a 64-year-old Grandview Washington man. Details of what happened and how the vehicle ended up in the river have not been released but state patrol says an investigation is underway.
