WSDOT says a portion of State Route 108 near McCleary will remain closed for one more day. The road work that caused the detour, which was scheduled to be picked Tuesday, will now be finished by tomorrow morning. Transportation officials say crews were having problems from high water in the work zone. That section of 108 has been closed off for construction since September 5th. That work is part of the larger project to replace culverts for better salmon passage and will have more detours on 108 starting mid-October.
