Everyone is safe after a surf rescue call in Ocean Shores yesterday afternoon. Police and Fire responded after a call that a woman and three children, ages 7 and 9 were in distress. When crews arrived, they learned the three kids were playing in waist deep water when they were swept off shore by a rip current. The woman watching the children was able to first swim out and rescue two of the children. She then went back out for the third child who stayed above water with floaties on her arms. EMS also responded but no one needed medical attention.
