Filled by the same candidate who lost the election in 2019.
A vacant Aberdeen city council seat has been filled by the same candidate who lost the election in 2019. At this week’s meeting, it was announced that David Gakin would fill the Ward 2 position 3 seat that was vacated back in January by Tiesa Meskis. Gakin said he wants to help clean up his community and help to add bathrooms to all public parks. Gakin was the only person to apply for the vacant seat.
