Expect traffic delays between Hoquiam and Aberdeen later this month as WSDOT closes the US 101 Simpson Avenue Bridge for repairs. The bridge will be closed around the clock from 9 a.m. Tuesday, July 21, through 9 a.m. Thursday, July 23, while crews replace an aging support piling and make roadway repairs. During the closure, the nearby Riverside Bridge will be converted to two-way traffic. Drivers should expect backups and plan extra travel time through the area.
