The City of Aberdeen has announced the selection of Ruth Clemens to serve as the City Administrator,
the first in the City’s history. Clemens was selected after a recruitment process and interviews with city
leaders. Clemens has over 15 years of government experience and is currently the Administrative
Services Manager for Thurston Public Utility District. The job offer is contingent on approval from the
City Council which will discuss and vote on her official appointment during the regular council meeting
next Wednesday, September 28. If approved, her first day with the City would be Monday, October 3.
