Following two days of counting ballots manually, The Grays Harbor Election officials have confirmed votes
It’s another example that every vote counts... Following two days of counting ballots manually, The Grays Harbor Election officials have confirmed, that by 4 votes, Douglas Orr beat Debi Ann Pieraccini and will become Aberdeen’s next mayor. A recount did not change the outcome but there were some early discrepancies. Election night results had Orr leading by 2 votes. A ballot recount on November 15th had Orr leading by eight, however after some previously rejected ballots were cured, Orr’s lead went down to 4, which would be the certified results.
