Hoquiam City council has welcomed in a new member. Rob Gillis was voted in this week to fill the open ward 4 seat after being chosen from a field of at least 4 other applicants. Gillis is a 9-year Air Force Veteran and 16-year resident of Hoquiam. He said he plans to continue running after this term, adding that as councilman, he is there to listen to the concerns about the community.
