An inmate is dead after a medical emergency inside the Grays Harbor County Jail Friday morning. Grays Harbor County Sheriff's Office says crews rushed in and tried to save the person, but they were pronounced dead at the scene. Now, an independent investigation is being launched, led by the Thurston County Sheriff’s Office. Officials say the inmate’s identity and cause of death will be released later. The case remains under investigation.
