Hoquiam Police are reminding you about a dedication event with street closures this weekend. On Saturday Emerson Avenue will be closed from Cleveland Street to Buchanan Street from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. for the Delta Park dedication in honor of Major General Eldon Bargewell. There will be a detour in place routing traffic to SR 109 bypass for westbound traffic and down Paulson Rd for east bound traffic. Major General Bargewell was a 1965 Hoquiam High School graduate who served in the Army from 1967 to 2006.
