Grays Harbor Transit is sticking with its fare free system for another year, meaning every fixed route from the coast to Olympia stays completely free in 2026.

Grays Harbor Transit is sticking with its fare free system for another year, meaning every fixed route from the coast to Olympia stays completely free in 2026. HarborFlex services like paratransit and Dial-A-Ride also remain free, with only vanpools still carrying a fee. Transit leaders say ditching fares has made buses faster to board and cheaper to run, helping both riders and staff. The policy is backed by state climate funds, and GHT says it delivered more than 950,000 free rides last year.
