A report from the Aberdeen Finance Committee and the parks and recreation director recommending that the city apply for a grant to fund the Aberdeen museum was approved by the Aberdeen City Council this week. The Capital Heritage Grant would amount to $616,000 and would require matching funds not to exceed $411,000. After approving the report, the council also approved a resolution to allow the parks and rec director to apply for that grant. Both measures passed unanimously.
