The City of Aberdeen is seeking applicants to fill a vacancy on the City Council after the Ward 4 Councilmember resigned earlier this month. Registered voters in Ward 4 can apply by submitting an application, questionnaire, cover letter, and resume by 5:00 PM on March 21. The City Council will review applications and interview candidates before selecting a new member on March 26, with the chosen candidate taking the oath of office on April 9. The appointee will serve until the 2025 general election, at which point they must run for the seat to remain in office.
