Aberdeen Police Traffic Stop Leads To Arrest

The driver was arrested for DUI after failing field sobriety tests, while the passenger, a convicted felon, was taken into custody for unlawful firearm possession.

An early morning traffic stop in Aberdeen led to two arrests and the discovery of drugs, cash, and a firearm. An Aberdeen police sergeant pulled over a vehicle for equipment violations early Saturday morning and spotted a revolver inside. The driver was arrested for DUI after failing field sobriety tests, while the passenger, a convicted felon, was taken into custody for unlawful firearm possession. A search of the vehicle uncovered drug paraphernalia, 20 grams of cocaine, and over $2,200 in cash, leading to both suspects being booked into jail.
