The International Woodworkers union said more than 80% of its more than 1,100 members including members from Aberdeen and Raymond turned out for the vote, resulting in a rejection of Weyerhaeuser’s contract proposal and the latest word is that picket signs went up at midnight and Weyerhaeuser workers are officially on strike. Negotiations have been ongoing since the spring with union reps saying there’s no resolution in sight.
