The Ocean Shores mayor is getting a big pay raise. City council voted this week to approve a $53,000 per year raise for mayor Jon Martin. In a 5-2 decision, the mayor’s salary will now go from $12,000 per year to a $65,000 per year salary. The Daily World reports the increase in pay will allow Martin to turn down a promotion with McDonald’s in order to give more time and focus on Ocean Shores’ business. This makes mayor Jon Martin the highest paid mayor in Grays Harbor County.
