Grays Harbor College recently named a building after a local couple that has been giving back to the college for years. The newly named Hughes automotive/welding technical building was in honor of philanthropists Pat and Mary Ellen Hughes. In 2004 the Hughes family established a tool scholarship to help students in the Industrial Technology and Allied Health fields get the tools they needed to learn their field of study. Pat Hughes is a 1953 graduate of Grays Harbor College spoke at the dedication event and thanked the staff and students for the honor.
