From the "Washington Recreation and Conservation Funding" Board
Grays Harbor County is receiving nearly $4.6 million as part of a $148 million statewide investment in parks, trails, habitat, and working lands from the Washington Recreation and Conservation Funding Board. Local projects include turf upgrades at Aberdeen’s Pioneer Park, boat launch improvements at Friends Landing and White Bridge, and conservation of over 250 acres in the Chehalis Valley. Lake Sylvia trail repairs and dune restoration at the mouth of the Copalis River are also funded. Officials say the grants support jobs, protect natural spaces, and ensure more Washingtonians can enjoy the outdoors for generations to come.
